Is magic disappearing from the world?
My paintings, drawings, sketches depict women. They are the witches, the sorceresses, the sibyls, the spirits. They are the magic that fights to remain attached to the world. They are the world that fights to not lose the magic.
They are the amazons, the harpies, the dyads, the women raped by Zeus, they are the magic that remains in the world.
Are shown as treasures of experiences and knowledge, objects of creative and pictorial contemplation. They are creatures feared by man, due to their intrinsic relationship with nature. They are sisters, and they resist passing and weaving secrets and stories.
The pictorial space my women live in is constellated by elements of a fantastic and surreal reality, where geometrized and archaic shapes determine a de ned plastics through the use of a flat color palette.
Colors come as a stream of consciousness, some vibrate, some oscillates, some stay quiet. They are part of the psychology of women. They do not shine, they burn. They are not dancing, they fight.
They keep their childish and playful curiosity, in the traits and in the method used to paint: oil pastels colors.

A Tale to tell
Penelope weaved every day and untwisted the knots her tapestry every night for three years. I believe we can de ne her tapestry as the rst historical object of resistance. Armed only with her threads, her craftiness and female creativity, she was able to avoid a war. The act of making it is rarely just con ned in itself, I feel it is time for me to tell these tales.
